Among the mountains of Abruzzo, in central Italy, lie the ruins of the Convent of Santa Maria di Cartignano. More than a thousand years old, the church survives today as a monumental stone shell, with its façade and arches still standing, while much of the roof and one of its lateral sections have been lost.

The community of Bussi sul Tirino now wishes to transform the complex into a venue dedicated to concerts, music, theatre and other live performances. Can you imagine how the church could be completed and reinterpreted to accommodate this new cultural space?
